Chef Frederic Madelaine, originally from Normandy, France, opened his first boutique, Le Pommier, in Kitazawa in October 2005, followed by a second in Azabu Juban in September 2009, and a third in Omotesando in December 2014. The third store was opened in Omotesando in December 2014 as Cafe Lepommier. The floor of the boutique is covered with over 200 years old terra cotta (unglazed pottery), which was brought in from Normandy to show the chef’s commitment to continue making classic pastries as his belief in them. The walls and pillars are decorated with columbages (wooden structures), a traditional Normandy house design. Le Pommier’s classic pastries are loved not only by the French but also by the Japanese. Among all, the chef’s favorite is petit gateau “Pommier” made with green apples!
We commit to give our customers satisfaction from the moment they take one bite of our food. We do this by maintaining a classic vibe while valuing the sense of seasons and carefully using selected fresh ingredients.
